This panorama shows the view from Plugge's Plateau above Ari Burnu Point. The plateau, captured by the Anzacs on 25 April 1915, takes its name from Lieutenant-Colonel Arthur Plugge (pronounced Pluggy), commanding officer of the Auckland Battalion.  

Ari Burnu Point is at left and the Anzac commemorative site at right. The road below leads north to Suvla. Scroll right to see the outposts, the Camel Hump, Walker's Ridge and Plugge's Plateau Cemetery. The treeline behind the cemetery is at Lone Pine.
